While I was there I was even luckier to get to visit the <a href="http://www.printscharming.com.au/">Prints Charming</a> Studio 2 times! On my first visit, I got to dig through their scrap/reject bin and found all the great fabrics that make the top of this quilt. I finally finished it this weekend. I am loving the colors. For anyone who hasn't heard of Prints Charming, they are a great duo who design a fabric line and do it all through screen printing themselves in their Sydney studio. And they even have a class to teach you screen printing, which I took and maybe someday I will finish the quilt from that fun day!</span></div><div><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_iHzvTXFEm-k/TSuDd9H0i3I/AAAAAAAAAXU/bPyb4nf8hGg/s1600/DSC_0004.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_iHzvTXFEm-k/TSuDd9H0i3I/AAAAAAAAAXU/bPyb4nf8hGg/s400/DSC_0004.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5560682715565820786" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_iHzvTXFEm-k/TSuDdXvWZFI/AAAAAAAAAXM/VUS5__OYaG8/s1600/DSC_0001.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_iHzvTXFEm-k/TSuDdXvWZFI/AAAAAAAAAXM/VUS5__OYaG8/s400/DSC_0001.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5560682705531069522" /></a>Courtneyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11283189349621168362noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4245307281971083524.post-19343844957859282082011-01-08T06:09:00.000-08:002011-01-08T06:30:53.709-08:00Introduction<div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'courier new'; "><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'courier new'; ">Hello! So I decided that since I get such great inspiration from all the quilting blogs out there that I should start my own. I have been quilting since I was 12. I love to make the tops, but I am not so good at actually quilting them. I recently have been trying to machine quilt and I am getting better at it. I still have a ton of tops to practice on! I am also really good at starting projects, not so good at the finishing. I have been getting better - I am learning how nice it is to actually have a finished quilt! In addition to quilting, I attempt a lot of projects around my 1940's house. Most recently was the stone retaining walls last summer. Next up is the kitchen! I am also a runner, although with the cold weather right now I am not getting out as much as I should. And not to be forgotten, I am the mom to a wonderful Golden Retriever named Shelby. Here are a few pictures from my quilting past...</span></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_iHzvTXFEm-k/TSh0mZMEWGI/AAAAAAAAAW8/WCsIpYoWTRI/s1600/kites%2B006.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_iHzvTXFEm-k/TSh0mZMEWGI/AAAAAAAAAW8/WCsIpYoWTRI/s400/kites%2B006.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5559821942934231138" /></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_iHzvTXFEm-k/TSh05pywwsI/AAAAAAAAAXE/7pmeTP_ELU4/s400/kites.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5559822273809007298" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; " /></span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><br /></span></div>Courtneyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11283189349621168362noreply@blogger.com1
