Quilt As You Go Round 2

My New Years Eve was spent with a good friend making quilt as you go blocks! I don't think there is a better way to welcome the new year! Thank you to Heather for running it! I think I still have enough scraps to make a few more...

Prints Charming

I was lucky enough to live in Australia for 2 years. While I was there I was even luckier to get to visit the Prints Charming Studio 2 times! On my first visit, I got to dig through their scrap/reject bin and found all the great fabrics that make the top of this quilt. I finally finished it this weekend. I am loving the colors. For anyone who hasn't heard of Prints Charming, they are a great duo who design a fabric line and do it all through screen printing themselves in their Sydney studio. And they even have a class to teach you screen printing, which I took and maybe someday I will finish the quilt from that fun day!

Introduction

Hello! So I decided that since I get such great inspiration from all the quilting blogs out there that I should start my own. I have been quilting since I was 12. I love to make the tops, but I am not so good at actually quilting them. I recently have been trying to machine quilt and I am getting better at it. I still have a ton of tops to practice on! I am also really good at starting projects, not so good at the finishing. I have been getting better - I am learning how nice it is to actually have a finished quilt! In addition to quilting, I attempt a lot of projects around my 1940's house. Most recently was the stone retaining walls last summer. Next up is the kitchen! I am also a runner, although with the cold weather right now I am not getting out as much as I should. And not to be forgotten, I am the mom to a wonderful Golden Retriever named Shelby. Here are a few pictures from my quilting past...
